Find out about obtaining a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for exporting products to Uganda. SGS is fully authorized by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) to issue Pre-Shipment Verification of Conformity (PVoC) certificates.

Requirements for Importing Products into Uganda

Uganda requires all regulated products imported into the country to conform to the requirements of the UNBS PVoC program. Under the PVoC program, a CoC is compulsory for customs clearance. The CoC confirms that your products meet all applicable national standards or approved equivalents and technical regulations, and must be issued by an authorized inspection and certification body.

Obtaining your CoC

SGS has been authorized by UNBS to implement its PVoC program. We have been entrusted to ensure that imported goods conform to Uganda's relevant standards and technical requirements. If you are exporting to Uganda, once you have a firm order for your goods, we can arrange for their inspection and certification.

Key Benefits

  • Acquire your CoC
  • Confirm compliance with Uganda’s import requirements
  • Avoid delays on clearance
  • Prevent losses caused by the import of non-compliant products
