Strategic Asbestos Management
Why you need to identify asbestos risks
Exposure to asbestos can endanger the lives of building occupants and workers. To minimise threats from asbestos, UK regulations require landlords and managers of non-domestic premises, and managers of demolition or refurbishment projects, to identity and assess the presence of asbestos.
How SGS can help
We conduct asbestos surveys that will enable you to comply with Regulations 4 and 5 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Regulation 4 requires building managers to make suitable and sufficient assessments of asbestos in non-domestic premises. Regulation 5 requires assessments to be made prior to undertaking any work that might disturb asbestos in the area.
